Ugh
So, last Saturday morning, I found what I thought to be a spider bite on my leg – similar to a mosquito bite, but larger & very itchy. By Tuesday, the red mark was 3 times bigger than it had been on Saturday, and was beginning to take on the appearance of a bulls-eye.
I called to make an appointment with the doctor, and by this afternoon, it was confirmed to be Lyme Disease. I’ve started the antibiotics, and I don’t anticipate any long-term problems, but damn. A holiday weekend, 90 degrees forecast through next Tuesday, clear skies, low humidity, and no plans except to float in the pool, or stretch out in a lawn chair with a book, and I’m supposed to avoid the sun while taking this medication.
You know this will be the only spectacular weekend weather-wise for the rest of the summer, right?
